This is a sake for us, not for puppy dogs! And I know I said I was not a sake fan, but this is sparkling and light and unfiltered and absolutely delicious. If beer and champagne and sparkling cider had a party and all served their favorite cocktail, this would be it! I had it at Wabe Sabe in Venice, California, but I read on a blog called Urbandaddy that you could buy it in New York at Landmark Wine, and that they serve it at Chanterelle. It’s the perfect summer drink. And the label…well, what else do I have to say?

POOCHI POOCHI !

Wait. Wabe Sabe? Urbandaddy? Poochie Poochie? … Cath? Is that really you?
we in venice are very particular about the spelling of this fine old restaurant. it is wabi sabi. not wabe sabe. otherwise keep up the good wook.
This may not be the right place, but I just read, and enjoyed your new book and was wondering if you’re doing any readings in NYC?
Hi Mickey. Thanks so much. I’m really glad you liked the book. I am doing a reading on June 16 at The Museum of the City of New York. That’s a Saturday. At 1:00PM. And if the weather is good, it will be held outside and DOGS are invited, too! I’m also going to donate a portion of the sales of The New Yorker to Animal Haven, a really wonderful shelter in New York City and upstate NY. I hope you can come! Say hello if you do.
thanks for the info. I’ll mark it down and tell some of my many dog-people… I saw you read at a B & Noble 2-3 years ago for your previous book, too.
I rescued my pit bull mix almost 3 years ago. In fact, we met June 15th 2004, and I walked her home June 26.
Mickey–What’s your pit-bull’s name? The pit-bull on the cover is named Callie.
Tilly. The rescue group, Earth Angels, had named her already. If you email me at work (m.d.kramer@elsevier.com), I can forward to you a couple awesome pics… I’ve become a total dog-sap since I got her… reading books, walking dogs at BARC (a shelter in Brooklyn), etc…
